Deadpool #38 is a continuation of the AXIS event and a continued disappointment. The witty, merc-with-a-mouth Deadpool that everyone knows and loves is nowhere to be found; instead he is replaced with an uninteresting, unremarkable, Zen-loving version. Even worse: the story line of the genetically-altered versions of the X-Men is dead in the water.
